The Kuumba Ensemble is proud to announce its affiliation with the Expressions of Faith Dance Ensemble. Five extraordinary dancers from Baltimore, MD have come together to create one of the most dynamic dance troupes residing in the Mid-Atlantic corridor. You can access their website at: http://expressionsoffaith.fws1.com. Each dancer brings her own technique and creative brilliance to the stage in a way that leaves the audience in awe. The Expressions of Faith Dance Ensemble specializes in liturgical dance, but also uses modern dance choreography to undergird contemporary theatrical projects that are secular in nature. The troupe has performed in several of the Kuumba Ensemble's most popular productions: "The Rumble In My Voice: A Tribute to the Civil Rights Movement", "Necessary Notes from the Sistahs: A Romance and Relationship Showcase", "And I Dare Survive: A Riveting look at the AIDS epidemic", and "Shoe Walking: An Unprecedented Journey Through Courage - A tribute to the heroes of yesterday."
Additionally, Expressions of Faith Dancers perform throughout the Baltimore and Washington, DC corridors with a host of Faith-Based organizations and institutions. To arrange a performance at your church or for your organization, contact Kamila Walker, Communications Coordinator at (443) 474-2875.
Again, the Kuumba Ensemble salutes this core of creative saints and their sacred movements!
