If for any reason a production is cancelled due to in climate weather, the Kuumba Ensemble will offer a snow date and honor all tickets accordingly. PISOTA - Parents In Support Of The Arts
The PISOTA organization serves as an outreach arm of the Kuumba Ensemble to enhance community relations in the southwest corridors of Baltimore County and the surrounding communities.
. PISOTA's primary objectives are to:
- Handle fundraising for the youth repertory: Young Artists In Residence (YAIR);
- Assist the theater with showcase promotions;
- Coordinate field trips for youth development;
- Help to plan and coordinate a banquet to recognize and honor youth performers;
- Assist with creative arts scholarship selections;
- Promote the new Performing Arts Academy for young performers;
- Assist the Ensemble in maintaining its relationship with schools, colleges, churches and other venues;
- Volunteer to assist with theatrical productions;
- Assist with audience development;
- Host arts focus groups;
- Serve as spokespersons for PTA meetings, media interviews, community fairs, etc.; and
- Assist with special projects as needed.
